BMW wheels are great. Rich owners throw em away sometimes even lol

I like the out board LCA pick up but a welded on washer to make a boss would be a little stronger possibly.

what are you using for the suspension bushing?

also its a big help to increase caster, this adds dynamic camber, improves braking by shifting weight to the wheel under braking rather than past them, also reduces nose dive. Improved high speed stability/cornering, heavier steering and better feed back, faster snap back just to name a few.

you can either shorten the radius rods( or adjustable ones) or get adjustable tops or both

I found the No.1 biggest difference was in the bushes alone.

Hi again and thanks.
Krusty,I want/wanted to plate or add a washer to the bolt hole. Its a bit of a bastard to get in that spot in the pic.
The flat of the nut is captive right up against the inner part of k-frame so it has 100% surface grip under the nut (although it cant spin anyway)The washer I wanted to add had to be ground down a fair bit to make it fit in that small area.
Plus longer bolts etc. It is kind of a proto as I have new k-frame in the shed put away for a rainy day,but this one turned out ok.
I even thought about plating the inside instead as it would be easier to weld, but then it would mean reducing the width of the LCA bushes.
Its one of those things in the back of your mind that you know you can improve, but has to be tackled another way and day.
Its surprising how strong an X-member can be,when we were testing the VE c/dore x-members at work to purposely fail ie angle grinder cuts to within 3mm of mounting point holes then driven to extreme abuse.
Very rarely did any of them fail.

cont tomorrow

Nice looking car. I thought the roll cage looked familiar. I recently fitted a Bond 6 point to my EVO and was very happy with everything from price to advice. Should do nice times with everything done to it. I recently went on a track day with the HSV club and there was one gen 3 twin turbo from QLD but the problem was it was too powerful and preferred to wheel spin than go fast. That car was an auto so I think a manual trans would be a huge benefit for track racing. The drag strip would be another story.

Thanks VL and everyone.
I have a lot of catching up to do on here.

vlad ,bushes are a mix of genuine and nolathane.
Caster rod/bushes is next on the list. I might have slight tyre contact on the fronts of the inner guard liners on 3/4 lock to lock from what I can see at the moment.
I may have to chase more caster at the strut towers.....more money!

Hi delco ,stickers are a must have  plus it looked boring all naked.

Charlescrown, Bond rollcages were great. Before I ordered one,I had heard good things so I stuck with them and I can re -sell it if need be.

If anyone has been sleeping under a rock, you would have heard all the great news today...NOT
Oh well, I'll get over the line for long service, after that it might be centrelink.
