Motorola hc11 in the delcos, 68k in the ls1, and still 68k now. Somewhere along the line motorola became freescale.

Kojab's pics are from an E40 not an E38. E40 is 68k, E38 is MPC555(from memory).

You can see there are pads for 3 connectors where as an E38 only has 2

Geez, I leave this thread for 1 second and were already almost disassembling bins!
If the E38 is a "MPC555", what do we do from here? Look up a disassembler for that chip type?
It would be my next step to poke around some routines and go from there.

Looks like MPC555 is PowerPC.
