hope things change for you v6bucket ;)

Dan, i never had a gemini with a torque tube, other than when i got it and the diff was one of the first things i did hehehe, so im not sure how bad they are but from what i've read on the gemini forums they are one of the weak points and something i had no interest in dealing with :)

Yeah in theory. But installing an aftermarket larger torque tube rubber or filling out the whole mounting point with sikaflex sorts them out. Still that was not the answer for Holden202T's car, but 250rwkw and mines holding up fine on the track. I think the rumors about them have just gotten out of hand. Of course with 35 year old rubber, yeah. http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... 651#p39401

well all the hard work is done!

both sides are in and working, other than needing to be fully welded and some gussetts added.

I measured the pinion angle with the diff about 1.5 inches lower than ride height and from there to the bump stops the pinion changes 1 degree downward, so im pretty happy with that!

this once used to look like a Gemini diff modified with commodore upper arms and brakes, but now its really more looking like a short commodore diff :P

so the mounts are all fully welded up, and all the old mount points ground off and such, ready to go back in now.

I have also been working on the strengthening of the floor mounts, gusseting and such, so hopefully a bit more work there then it will be time to start putting it back together!

im pretty sure with the strengthening I've worked out its either going to work fine or if it comes out it'll be ripping half the rear end out of the car!!

well the driver side is completed! might not be the nicest looking but I'm fairly confident its going to be reasonably strong!

now to finish off replicating that on the passenger side and re-locating the exhaust then we can race!

Got a few more bits for the fuel system, will run twin pumps at gunnedah and if pressure still drops I'll know it's the fuel lines
