pistons look nice what comp they gonna have i got the same balancer its very stout are you going to use girdle? and what type of bearings and rods will you be using should be good for some decent power

yes the extreme is heavy as! Im not sure how long the fork will hold up in the VR haha.
They get heavier as the travel increases towards the firewall, its an annoying feeling.
Jim said that extreme set them up stupid, so the pedal effort is much greater than the actual clamping force is relative to other manufactures.
In his words "they dont have a clue what they are doing" hahaha
He is the best clutch guru in Oz easy! Too bad he is out of action for a while so he cant run his magic over it for me, just gave me a list of part numbers he reckons will be a good combo for my engine.

Dont know what bearing yet. Will let duggan's select them for me. I think there is only 3 main performance choices anyway. no girdle. stock rods with arp bolts, stock main bolts. doesn't need anything great. The balancing will be the most important thing and blueprinted tolerances.
power is not huge, just very broad and building it for some abuse haha. I hammer the shit out of my engines. Everyday they see well past redline lol, 250K of my very own abuse like that daily, several times a day. So I just want it to hold up not necessarily make big numbers.
When I want to build a serious engine I'll look at the ecotec I have stashed in the shed. This is just a daily driver.

ah sweet should be a good run aboout yeah im in the middle of my ecotec build having doubts weather or not the crank will handle the 7000+rpm i want it to see but im quietly confident what do you think there good for im about to send my stuff away next week for balancing so im keen to see how this thing performs looks like it will be a good build
im using clevite hardend race bearings definatly seem like the way to go coouldnt get a hold of acl ones so i went with them

they dont like over 6500 the stock cranks even preped, shot peened and balanced. short burst should be ok but not sustained 7k lol

yeah thats the one i wanted but my budget doesn't allow for it so ill just have to keep an eye on it unfortunately there pretty pricey

got quoted 3k for one or 2.2k for a second hand one so ill just go with out and keep an eye on things

thats pretty expensive but not bad in the grand scheme of things as many more engines cranks cost way more for billet versions.
My understanding they are custom made for them only? I have not seen any US vendors selling cranks like this.
