my clone is working again.
uninstalled TLC!
removed the latest mdi manager and recovered it with v8.5.33.53.
installed latest manager and updated it and it's working again.
the mdi2 stopped working too but thats back now.

I was explicitly told that Holdens are not working. I believe they are probably moving stuff over by hand which means its going to take forever....

Support has given me access to sps1 for all of October.

I thought id give it a try on my work computer.
No downgrading mdi manager needed.

After cracking the sh!ts for the better part of a month with the helpdesk, I fired off a big email to them and got sps1 access for the month of October.

Out of interest, I tried TLC on a 2012 VE 6L Calais Wagon I was fitting a replacement IQ unit to. Programmed it perfectly, also did updates on ECU, BCM, IC, FPCM and TCM. Not a prob which surprised the hell out of me.

Going to try and flash a 'used' non reset PCM (Probably E39) and see if it will write to it like SPS1 usually did even on Global A vehicles, then see if the Global A trick of doing a reset to a used PCM works when entering SPS using the donor cars VIN no. I'm willing to bet this has come to an end.....Backdoor resets and vin changes FTW.

Some of the VEs and older vehicles have finally been added to the databases. Dealerships cracked the shits and finally it was updated!
Finally got it working as well which is nice.

Global A doesn’t have the option to “reset” prior. SPS does have that option saying prepare for removal but after I logged this process recently, it literally did nothing. They have tried to move this to all within calibration writing process.

Interesting, I meant to reply to this sooner but havn't had a chance to do my little test yet.

SPS1 - 2013 Cruze. Replacement ECU 2nd hand still programmed to whatever wreck it was removed from.

My procedure was SPS - Enter VIN of car the ECM was removed from, Prepare control module for removal - follow that through and done. Next 'new' SPS session, VIN of the car you're fitting the ecu to / working on, run through the programming proceedure. Clear DTC's. Then proceed with same vin, go into Immo, Configuration and settings, blah blah blah, ECM replaced - let it do its thing. It'll run through a count down, then ask you to Key Off, open close drivers door, key on etc. Basically just follow the bouncing ball...

Worked fine. As Happy as a 1.8 Cruze can possibly be.

I'm going to give essentially the same procedure a go with SPS2 - but I'm not sure how its going to go linking to the immo if the module hasn't been 'prepared for removal'? In SPS1 its always had a hissy fit if theres existing programmed data - just the same as most of the Opel junk.

There is the issue, that is the correct method which use to work.

GM has tried to move the Australians to match what the Americans do (Which do not have a separate prepare for removal option). All of their delinking/relinking is done during the calibration update stage which is what GM has started migrating the Australian vehicles to, hence all the problems.
