lol!
you'll probably find you could even use a vn v8 cable, guess it depends how your mounting it, but yeah the ecotec ones roq, i use them for carby 202's, over the top of the motor to the rear then turn back to the passenger side and connect to the carby on the inner guard area pulling back, perfect length!
oh and for the record, i've seen 110 degreesC MAT on a 1/4 pass with mine lol, i'd love to have a sensor after the injector though to see how much the methanol is cooling the charge!
do you know what compression this thing has ?

haha no idea knowing my luck its probably got flat tops that will just help it come on boost LOL.its been someones nice street car all repainted at some stage and engines nice and orange with peter brock signed rocker covers and sidecovers it could be anything LOL 3.3 casting block 12 port black top its an HZ going off the dash and 1980 rego but HQ fronted LOL.its got a good exhaust note unlike a stock cammed 202 so maybe it allready has some goodies in it.

yeah definately sounds cammy, but nothing too wild! hopefully whoever built it made it for 91 octane fuel!

be nice if it has hardened valve seats but im not holding my breath LOL.once i can get it to idle at 700-800 and shove my wideband up its arse ill see just how cammy it is .wheres your coolant sensor mines fitted in the front most heat controlled vacuam tee hole in the head near exhaust ports im thinking it may not be the best spot just yet.aftermarket temp gauge is in after thermostat in TS housing and stock gauge sender in rear of head im sort of out of spots LOL

on the gemini i have my dash gauge in the rear of the head driver side, as for the ones near the exhaust ports, especially with boost, you'll find that it reads up to 20 degrees hotter than the engine is actually running, because of this i have moved my ECM sensor to the bottom of the thermostat housing ... but looking at that thing you have a commodore thermostat housing so you might not be able to do it, but if you get an earlier one you can do one of the two options below
this one requires drilling and tapping the thread for it, and squaring off the hole end.

this one is more of a bolt in job if you can find the right thermostat housing with this hole in it, normally has a big ass temp sender in it.

sweet ill mod the housing LOL im seeing 103*c degrees solid once warm .800rpm idle 25-30 psi oil pressure 1500rpm 40psi must be in ok nick ide like to raise it a bit though

yeah that's fairly normal for a 202 from what I've seen, mine never goes much over about 40-50psi even higher in the revs.
as for the CTS, when I was running the 202 on the street everyday I was chasing my tail for months trying to work out why it was always running at 110-120 degC according to the ecm but 80-90 on the dash gauge, turns out once I moved the CTS to the thermostat housing they were always within 2-3 degrees of each other!!
let me tell you, having it think its that hot screws with so much more than just your head!

haha yeah i want it to read correct since temp is used to calculate fueling im even considering boring a hole in a runner down near the head for the IAT sensor more like vn

yeah IAT has always been a concern for me, I've had it in one of the ports beside the throttle body and currently on the turbo motor its in the EGR hole directly behind the butterfly!!

when you go tuning see if it pulls vacuum in the midrange and then goes back to atmo at top rpm like holden202's did. I dont think we figured out why that was? might have been to do with the location he had the map sensor plugged in getting some sort of pulse alignment at a certain rpm
