Thats it, it is a dev only kind of feature which they would have to specifically design for. I do not expect any developer to go to this extent yet until I get some demonstration videos and working examples to follow.antus wrote:Ahh I see. Nicely done then. Opt-in only for developers who want to take advantage of it to use it. BTW Dumb question, people keep asking me what to buy. Is the GT the does it all with all protocols including the Ford stuff?
As for the OBDX Pro cables, currently we have the following:
At $80, OBDX Pro VX - VPW, HSCAN
At $140, OBDX Pro GT - ALDL, VPW, HSCAN, GMLAN
At $140, OBDX Pro FT - HSCAN, MSCAN + supports 18v FEPS for Ford programming.
Anyone messing with GM based stuff for ECUs, can get away with using the VX.
Modern Fords which do not require FEPs can also get away with using the VX.
The GT allows diagnostics on other parts of GM based cars which use GMLAN/ALDL.
And the FT allows diagnostics on other parts of Ford based cars which use MSCAN.
Pete and I are trying to work on a "all in one" tool, but we already know it requires a custom case design since we are already out of space in our current design to do anything else unless we migrate to a smaller bluetooth module(As that takes up over 1 quarter of the board!).
