Yeah I figured they must not be a module for the autos in LS1's. But I do recall seeing the option in the tech2. I think I couldnt get into it because the ecu I had was manual maybe?. Dunno.. will find out tomorrow.

I just recall reading/hearing T42 or T43. Not sure which models are what! They could both use the same ecu, I have no clue currently! Will see if ebay sheds any light..

T42 is for VZ & VE S1 & is a 4 speed controller(inside left kick trim).
T43 is for VE S2 V8 & is a 6 speed controller(in transmission).
T68 is for VZ & VE S1 V6 & is a 5 speed controller(inside left kick trim on VZ & right upper kick trim on VE & awkward to remove).

I believe T42 was also used in the HSV VZ LS2 with 4 speed auto as E40 controller is engine only.

Yeah the t42 was on any 4 speed auto I think even e38 v8 tunes hence why I didn't state engine type for t42.

Well really, I only need to work on one TCM currently.

I have a VZ V6 TCM...not sure if its 4spd of 5spd, tech2 might tell me. But pretty sure the TCM ID will remain the same throughout the Holden range, same goes for Fault codes and PID's. Ill just make it an initial check at the beginning to see if the TCM is connected/found

if its squarish with a small black connector its a T42, If its trapezoidal shape its a T68 and has Siemens on the label (from memory)

With HP Tuners you can change the 4 speed auto calibration but with the 5 speed auto (SV6/Calais models only I believe) its stand alone controller and there is no options in the calibration for the auto.

I have tunes from a few different VZ V6 autos so I can get os id's and such if any of that is useful ?

The os IDs might be useful, could help in identiying what TCM im connecting to. But, if its anything like the ecus, they all use the same fault codes and PIDs so just need to keep on adding more fault codes/PIDs as I rever engineer them.

2006 175kw Ute with 4 speed auto VCM OS ID: 92190064 E55 and TCM OS ID: 24236195 T42

now this last one I am not sure about, its labelled as 2007 SV6 Ute but has the 4 speed auto, also the calibration says 2006 .... so I am assuming its NOT an SV6 because it would also be 190kw motor which has variable inlet and exhaust cams, and all the exhaust cam tables are 23 degrees ...... plus there was not a factory option of 190kw motor with 4 speed ever .... so this one "should be" a 170-175kw motor with 4 speed auto
