yeah it was more of a stir up for all the comments before about barras, hemis and other motor options ..... I had also been wanting to see how it fitted but needed the motor out to be able to do it.
its similar to the LS1, would need the booster removed to be able to fit it and probably a few inches of extra clearance behind the booster on the firewall, would be bucket loads of room at the front though!!
@ Greg: this is a 1978 Buick 3.8ltr V6, mostly stock, small cam, edelbrock performer manifold and 450 4 barrel holley, backed with T350.
@ Vlad: yes its normal to have those feelings over a manifold like that
@v6bucket: don't worry dude, the 202's here to stay, its a proven setup that is literally the only bolt in option I have, plus I am not done with the 202's yet, way more developments planned as money allows!
I also figured after all the pics of broken shit someone might actually be interested to see how it went before that!
So this is my brother in the car, you can see about halfway down the track she was a bit taily, then in the next video in car you can see it clearly on the steering wheel

Got that 2 step working very well now, launches way better with some boost in it! Sure did get a little squirrelly.

Plans to rebuild this one or do you have another?
Is there any aftermarket intakes similair to that VK style? Is it a restriction?

no plan to keep this one stock and running at the moment for these sorts of things, i have other blocks and the crank is still good, so planning to see if i can get some more pistons and bore the block to suit, then really just need a cam and a few small bits and i'll be back, but also thinking of doing a few mods to the new block and a few other upgrades while im at it ....
going to see a mate about some pistons now actually so i'll see how that goes
the vk manifold i think for full on N/A HP is a limitation, turboes overcome that

And so begins another motor build

kinda on a limited budget so getting bits and pieces month to month as I need them....
next step is get the block bored and then I can throw it together for dummy assembly of one cylinder to see the deck heights, once I have that i'll know if I need to machine the tops of pistons to lower the comp or deck of block to increase it!
also thinking about cams, the one at the top is what was in my N/A motor, now in my brothers car, its got good rpm range, but thinking the bottom one might be better
