I used to have the problem in my street 202 all the time if I gave it a good 2nd or 3rd gear high rev run, it probably had borderline springs, but then in the Gemini had the same issue when my gearbox broke the servo piston, free revved really high then spluttered a bit till the lifters bled down! like delcowizzid said, I've fixed it in the current motor with anti pump lifters!

not sure if you can get them for a V6 in rollers though ?!?! they are a bit dearer than normal lifters, but for a racing application you don't have a problem justifying it!

we used to have power start dropping at 5200 with the 222@0.050 cam.roller lifters need more spring to control the weight of the lifter we went from around 70-80 lb to 130LB+

my lifter don't sound too healthy, probably all the times I redline it. I think redlining it couple times a day for 4 years gotta takes it toll right? lol I think mine don't pump at all by the sounds of it.

You can get anti pump from crow cams for the V6, at least I am fairly certain of that.

Another method is to shim the rocker up so that when the rocker bolt is tightened down it only pushes the the lifter down .015"(.38mm), only issue is the lifters rattle a little.

How far are you from bottoming out the lifter? you may be close to been a de-facto solid roller as there isn't much collapse happening when it's running.

Valve float/lifter pump up should only be a problem if you over rev it :D

well the vb has killed the 38mm wastegate its lived a hard life of nearly constantly open and its finally cooked .went to start the car to move it and was blasting exhaust out the gate sure as shit its jammed half open .took some pretty hard hits with the hammer to unjam it.time for a 60mm upgrade
