Just tried to flash a vx pcm today on bench, got error message stating file did not match hardware. i aborted no harm done had i continued would it have worked? vx comms flag was set etc. basically a stock update

Not sure, by default I would think something is wrong if its saying that. Did you try and do a cal write from a mis matched operating system? If so, no there would be good chance of brick.

Just a stock enhanced flash pcm update basicly on a vx the same one ive run on another vx and my vy. Pulled the v2.09 off here. As soon as it said there was a mismatch i aborted before writing anything pcm still connected had vin etc and talked to tunerpro.

I flashed a pcm today and got the same msg. I clicked yes and still wrote the bin file in. Then click no after it’s flashed the 3 segments. Worked fine, if that helps.

Normal, always states that when writing a different base file than whata already on the ecu.

Seem to have nailed a reliable ghost cam that works on timing alone no messing with fuel was way more work than I wanted to do. Its goofy but people want it so whatever.

Its goofy at best but if someone offers you a stack of useful car parts in exchange whats a man to do... and well i learnt heaps about the idle logic. next round is transmission stuff, Not even my 16 year old wanted ghost cam in his car. PS i dont have tiktok i'm middle age.
