was sort of like that but it had a flash dizzy and no vacuam advance the dizzy was purely for distrobution of the spark no reluctor or module of any kind just the cap rotor and leads.im going to get the ecu next time i go i think or at least get pics and numbers
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

yeah i thought someone might get something out of it :D maybe save some 4 cylinder guys the money of buying the tuning gear to find they cant do it without swapping wiring and ecu's

well heres my pin swap diagram for anyone who wants to swap to 808 or 082 ecu from the VR auto ecu due to manual conversion or hydraulic auto swap

as you can see there is 1 less constant power and a few to little earths in the VR auto harness as it sits now i just feed both constant powers off the 1 wire from the harness maybe better to run a second one instead.the earths i just split the left over pins between what was allready in the VR harness making sure each or the FAT 808 earth wires were on a seperate earth wire to each other.there seems to be no park neutral wire for the vr auto so it needs to be run to the ecu.c12 from the vr ecu gets connected to the vss feed at pin A10 of the 808 and feeds pulses to the dash for speed.but pretty much that should be enough to help anyone with a similar swap for manual or hydraulic auto conversion into vr auto wireing using an 808 VN ECU or 082 VR MANUAL ECU.any questions just ask i had help from apples when required for pinouts of the auto loom etc helped keep me sane as well :mrgreen: pretty easy swap though.the worst thing about using an 808 is you loose aldl error data from the ABS ETC and the security from BCM to stop the car going without the correct key but at least the car will run when the silly electronic key security stuffs out :D allso to power the VSS for manual the auto loom has a switched ignition feed in it so find that for power for the manual or vn auto VSS there should be an earth in there too then use the old sensor wires from the vr loom for the signal to the ecu.for trans temp and TCC if using the hydraulic auto use the same 12v switched feed and use the shift solinoid wires to run the TCC and temp wires to the ecu.

i think im about to hit another snag i hear the VR reluctor VSS pumps out 10 times the amount of pulses as a vn VSS so might need a jaycar speedo corrector to get the pulses right :rant:

yeah but if you put that in then it should make the speedo right but then if you just change the PPK number in the tune that should sort that side of it out!

conversion has been sidelined for a while the T700 has seen the end of its life untill a rebuild no 3rd or 4th and second slips bad.just spent the weekend taking out a new box from the spare VR and took the T700 out and put a 4L60E back in its place as thats what we had to work with so now im gonna test the $11 realtime instead :mrgreen: dont know how long the new 4L60E will last shes a bit tired i think so time will tell.i see another gearobox swap on the cards soon

hi i think the vr and the vs instead of the park neutral wire going to the ecu it goes from the bcm through the switch then to the start relay

I know when the keyhead is off the key on my vr calais for testing vats removal etc you need to earth one pin on the start relay then the ignition works as it should so i assume the vr vs does use the bcm to supply an earth to the starter relay.
