all you have to do is send a mode 0 message, that will reset to normal aldl mode.
for you I guess that is 0xF7 0x56 0x00 0xB3

the mode 4 timeout in most bins I have seen is 0xFFFF
0xFFFF * 12.5ms = 13.7 minutes

So just to clarify -
Approx. 13 minutes after you send the lock 3rd gear command it will change back to normal by itself.
if you want it to stay in 3rd gear longer than that just send the lock command again before it switches back.
if you want it to change back to normal before the time is up send the command in my last post.

I didn't test that send command to stop 3rd gear lock in my car but had a V2 Monaro L67 I tuned so $A5 type PCM, but actual tune it was using was DTAZ $07 but PCM & BCM at same locations so I tried the send command you mentioned Charlay with F5 instead of F7(attached ADX) but it didn't un-lock it, still would only un-lock when dis-connecting!

yeh you prob wont be able to send the command while TP5 is connected, you'l have to disconnect - send - reconnect. Whenever i tried it connected my TP5 would crash. But give it a go..

Try this, should be command Both Solenoids OFF and TCC OFF.

Code: Select all

0xF5 0x68 0x04 0x01 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x08 0x00

Thanks for that The1, will give it a go, but looks most likely I will just have to dis-connect which isn't too hard!

VX L67 Getrag:
If you delete "0xB3" from the end of the command in your adx it should work, that was the original checksum, it is not needed since the checksum is calculated automatically.
The PCM would have been ignoring it since it was an invalid message.

The1:
with mode 4 commands, you only need to send as much of the command as you require.
