.bin file comparisons

Hi all, this may be a stupid question and I think the answer would be no.

Is it possible in tp5 to carry out a difference comparison between a 12P .bin and a Kalmaker .bin.
I was looking for a quick way to compare the files other than dumping them as text files and scrolling through many pages of text.
I would think that it is not possible as the definition file to recognise the .bin will not be the same for each.

Its been talked about (a Kalmaker to 12P migrate tool) but would be a fairly difficult job, certainly not impossible just time consuming. Having different names and types of tables/scalers does not help, so its all manual at this point in time

I thought as much and was hoping for an easy solution.

Thanks for the reply.

if your talking sp3 and you have the stock kalmaker bin and the one you are trying to analyse you can diff those in tp5 (or sp3) and get a shortlist of things to change in a stock 12p bin. easyer than going through the whole lot and in most cases would only be 2 or 3 tables, scalars and flags.

No such luck. I am sure that it is an Kalmaker tune for a VR auto.
Tune was used with all the auto flags disabled as it was converted to manual.

I will go through it manually and ask any questions if I get stuck.
