on the L67 I tuned, MGC maxxes out as soon as you hit 100% tps, even at low rpm. id love to tell you what its actually pulling but even on the kalmaker bin where the MGC limit is removed, in the datastream it still maxes out at 1000. the car is just a VX l67 with cam, roller rockers, w2a cooler and 14psi pulley. at the moment it maxxes out at 95% duty cycle on the stock 35lb injectors.

Well, if im gonna change the gearbox, its gonna be a Getrag260.
I have good experiences with them under my Beemer.

Does anyone know a good place in Perth, where to find cold rolled steel cutoffs or something similar.
A full sheet of 1200x2400mm seems a bit big for me :)

Looking for couple of pieces around 1200x200mm or similar. 1mm thick cold rolled raw steel.

If you're desperate, I've seen 600x600 (i think, not 100%) of mild steel plate at bunnings warehouse (the non warehouse stores don't have things like that as far as i'm aware) I bought a piece of 1.6mm thick but I think they have other thicknesses as well.

just for conversations sake, the part of that re-informent that you cut out is actually the part (the bottom half of it) which when i got rear ended and pushed into the car in front of me that part was what collected his tow bar .... with that gone i would have had a nice split in my a/c condenser and more than likely the radiator too!

moral of the story, make sure you can stop in time or its going to hurt alot if they have a towbar!

Well, mine should be a fair bit stronger now than the original! :)

Ive always thaught that the brakes and suspension are as important as the engine.
So, hopefully the car will stop as well :)

i was more referring to the fact you've cut out the bit that saved me rather than strength!
