Just getting into the TP software and can't seem to load up a tune. My computer knowledge is basic so no doubt it will be something simple.

At this stage I intend to just explore the software and gain some familiarity until my parts come from Ryan.

Can you guys link me to what i need to load into the TP5 trial (non RT) software so I can explore........and learn

what car? you need to find the xdf for modifying bins and adx for logging and bin that you want to use, you can lookup the stock bins for your car with the memcal id tool, link in my sig.

I suggest the RT version. There is no obligation to buy it, but if it works for you im sure mark would appreciate it. Its not limited in anyway, just a 10 second wait at startup. Get the ose12p zip file, unzip it somewhere. Load the 1, 2 & 3 bar xdf. Under aquisition load an adx, pick whichever you want of 1 2 or 3 bar, and petrol e85 or methanol. Then load a bin, pick one of the base tunes in the bin directory. Then have a look around. Ctrl + F to search through the list, when looking at a 3d graph ctrl left/right/up/down spins the graph and you can click on points and drag with the mouse or hit ctrl + or -

Once you've had a look around, if you get the hardware and want to start tuning, get oseplugin from the tools area, set it up as described there, and set it up for your com port. Note that you need an FTDI brand usb->serial if its not built in to your laptop.

Wow, that's an amazing piece of work. From a new comers level such as myself, that's a really generous program to first of all make and then to freeware it. Top stuff there!

BTW, the car I'm forst working on is a VP SV5000 in a wagon. We've just freshened up the engine with rings, bearings, seals and a new Crane 276 cam. New stock converter with a fresh shift kitted box.

Very conservative build yes, but the owner is just after a stout cruiser that's reliable.

Nothing to amazing alot of info was already out there just not in one spot
