Tunerpro 5 and OBDII

just used this adx and logged my VZ SV6 ute with the elm327, not sure if all the gauges are right or not for my car but its definately getting data from it ....

only seemed to be about 8-10hz, is that what you found with your LS1 ? wondering if its a limitation to the elm or something else ?

Tunerpro is saying about 23 hz when i use it on the LS1 .
Have you got the elm 327 plugin selected in preferences .
If youve got a port monitoring tool you can read whats happening in ascii.
Also fuel trims are old school 128 style ,not %

yeah selected the elm for plugin .... it might just be my car .... could also be getting errors from different pcm etc .... i'll get some port monitor logs and see if they shed any light!

Its definitely logging a lot slower than the ls1.Maybe theres more data on the obd2 bus in a vz.What sort of speed do you get with scantool.net software .
Other software checks for supported pids first where as this adx is ls1 specific , for example pid 0B is for map value and your vz doesnt have a map ,so i dont know what value it would be reading there.
The other values seem ok ,but at a slow sample rate.

vz not vx..... big difference!

yeah im not sure what the go is, all i know is that HP Tuners logs smooth as with about 20 pids selected.

most testing needed when its not freezing and dark!

Yeah meant VZ .Been playing with this VX too long i think.
Tunerpro is logging steady at 23 - 25 hz for me with the motor running.Maybe its slowing down because unsupported pids are being requested.
Try swapping the unsupported pids with supported ones .Or change the monitor macro so there not requested.

this is gonna sound dumb.. but I cant get it to work. I tried it on a VT ls1, with a bluetooth elm327, connected through com2. I selected the elm plugin in tp5, then opened the adx and clicked connect. it sat there for ages connecting, then went to 60 hz, no data was coming through.

how does this plugin know which com port to use?

Not sure what VZ's you've been looking at VN500, but there's a map there hanging off the back of the top section of manifold there much like the LS1's as they have both MAP & MAF!

Sorry Jayme I can't help with your question yet as I haven't tried this I've been debating which is the best elm to buy any ideas anyone?
