Yeah you get bi-directional 8192baud data in the VR and later, VN and VP was read only 160baud. The comms board allows you to get the faster rates from a VN/VP '808 when running VR/VS manual bins which 12P is based on.

i've been fiddling with this more lately. i've got it running on 12p. the only changes so far are resetting the reference angle and the k value. starts and runs awesome. just got to fix a broken bolt and fit a new thermostat housing. then i can give it a longer run.

Re: Hemi Dodge 114
so i finally got this to move under its own steam. this means i can get it into the shed and sort out the throttle and exhaust. my camera died recently, and i just got a new one. here is a couple of pics.
my rough and wild zif socketed memcal.
my equally rough and wild fuel system. it's a vn commodore pump. it was good to get it sorted and get the motor up to operating temp. once the exhaust is sorted, i can get the oxy sensor in and give it a quick squirt up the road.

i must say i think thats the most inovative fuel pump setup i've ever seen
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Any left over buffing compound in the tin will high-flow the injectors too!

Re: Hemi Dodge 114
well thanks for the compliments guys. i'm steadily frigging about with the extractors. it's going ok. more rough and wild action. nothing some stove black won't hide i suppose. got my collector today. might whip the extractors off this arve and see if i can finish them off.

did some more with the extractors. pulled them back off. welded the pipes all the way around. cleaned up the welds with an angle grinder then ran over them with the oxy. found heaps of pinholes. after work i'll tap the inlet for the air temp sensor and make the final adjustments to the rail mounts. then hopefully finish welding the collector. pics to come !

so i've welded on the collector, some 2 1/2 in. pipe and a bung for the oxy sensor. also shifted the earths back to the head bolt. hooked up power to the heater relay for the oxy sensor. i used a ford one, and it appears to be working fine. also hooked the throttle cable up. just brakes and a bit of an exhaust, then an illicit test drive. very exciting !

Re: Hemi Dodge 114
took this for a squirt up the road today. ran along at 90 km/h pretty easy. went ok at cruise. other bits need some work. it also stalled when i was slowing down coming into town. no speed sensor maybe ?
