I was having a play with EFI-Live the other day,last time used it (about a year ago) i noticed that the MAP guage wasn't working even though map voltage was .
I logged with TP5 dash and MAP is working along with map voltage.
I sent Paul @efi-live an email and sent me a response in this link.
I cant remember if i had this problem once i started using 12P or not.
Can any of you guys work out whats going on here in this link
cheers....mario

i presume 12p needs its own definition file hence it has its own TP adx file looks like it might be sending barometric pressure at key on to that address in efi live maybe or some other random constant

$12P
map voltage = 0x08
MAP = 0x25
Standard $12
map voltage = 0x08
MAP = 0x09
if its possible to change the offsets in EFIlive i'd say thats your answer, just use $12P ADX as reference for offsets.

Thanx Sam,i'll give that a go and see if E-live allows me the changes.
I'm not 100% sure if its 12P related as i'm happy using TP5 and 12P.
I'm still loading programs onto the new laptop and was having a play but remembered i had this issue way back.
I might bite the bullet and get a nvram off Ryan to clean up the inside of the car with the ostrich cable,ALDL cable,Motec PLM.
The ostrich works fine but having to chop and change settings to make use of 12P's plugin and to datalog and switching back settings and make changes through the ostrich etc is wearing a bit thin.
Someone on here said they had a Motec PLM as well but cant remember how they went wiring it in to use TP5 Dash readout.
When you're by yourself and driving and looking at the motec,looking at the screen and trying to correlate the 2 instead of watching the road,i'd rather give the money to Ryan and stay alive
Thanx Sam
Cheers...Mario
Expect a pm from me soon Ryan!

You might be able to setup the ostrich to play a little nicer, you dont need to use the OSE plugin with the ostrich or aldl interface. I dont have one to try but didnt think you needed to chop and change all the time with the moates gear and TP. Otherwise in about a week or so will have NVRAMs available again if you want one
The motec setup can be found here ..
https://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopi ... =27&t=1221 . Only disadvantage to the motec is you cant use wideband VE learn and you will need to change the calculation in the ADX to suit the wideband output.

Hi Sam,i had a play with changing the offsets in efi-live (well i hope i did it right as i'm hopeless on the software side of efi)
and no luck.
It did alter the max KPA setting on the guage but no visual guage movement.
I'll have another go,its no big deal but more curious than anything.
Thanks Ryan that was the post i remembered regarding the motec WB.
I'll keep you posted on the nvram as well.

from memory the efilive offsets are different, try looking at what the RPM signal is and see how it compares to $12 .... then if theres a difference apply that.
