Here ya go, there's nothing on the back, just a cap and resistor and the main connector.

Nothing on the other side?
edit - you already said nothing on the back, I'll learn to read one day

that's it, connector, 16V 470uf cap, 80ohm Resistor and forgot the buzzer, other than that not even any surface mount components, there all on the front.
the dials go over the front, then the white facia which has the lcd's in it, then front cover that's it. Has to be in that NEC chip somehow.

Is there anything sneaky hiding near/under the 3rd meter coil from the left?
Sort of below what looks like the oscillator?
Pins 10-12 on the MCU run in that direction, and could be used as an SPI interface...

Re: anyone figured out how to flash vt cluster?
nah, I'll believe you that there's nothing there
What does the middle set of contacts along the bottom connect to?

Re: anyone figured out how to flash vt cluster?
the three sets of contacts down the bottom are the lcd pads
Re: anyone figured out how to flash vt cluster?
Well i put the lcd's back on and powered it up and it shows the ODO so it's store in there.

Re: anyone figured out how to flash vt cluster?
a quick lil pulse circuit should do the job ......old school cable in the the drill trick.....just for new cars.
I made one for a mate a few years ago.....he wanted it to be set to the current (failed) speedo reading. it took about 28 hours to complete though.
I used a pic micro for the job.....some quick maths (very quick) and worked out roughly how many pulses were needed to get it right and set a "for next" loop. So my math was a little off, about 6000 km off but another 15 or 20 mins and the job was done.
I havent tried this on a VT cluster though.

If you guys want. Ill be getting ahold of a VT cluster this weekend. All i want is the fuel gauge so i can see about fitting it to my VS one. Other then that its useless. Anyone need a test dummy?
