Hey All, sorry as I know this topic has been covered hundreds of times but not sure what the definitive answer is?
on a VX N/a V6 for example can the speedo be corrected by the PPK values?
I have a feeling it will only correct the data in the PCM & not too the dash cluster is this correct?

You need to set the ppk in both the tune and the dash for VT- VY

tech 2 LOL you can only adjust it so far as well they cant go far enough to correct for 4.11.easiest way is just get a jaycar corrector kit and install it between VSS and ecu fixes shift points and dash in one fowl swoop

Will installing a speedo corrector from Jaycar fix my speedo on my VXII once i change from 3.08 to 3.46 and fix my shift points aswell? I've been doing a heap of research into flashing my pcm to fix it.. but this sounds easier

if you want an easy painless method of having everything work correctly, then leave the pcm alone, you dont really need to touch the ppk or shift points in the pcm. just install jaycar corrector between the pcm and speedo in your dash and adjust it up. all shifts will be perfect and dash will read correctly.

i reckon delcowizzids idea of between the vss and the pcm would be a better place to fit it

LMAO, opened a can o worms!
I don't have enough experience to comment on but I do know if the pcm is seeing a different speed to what is actual it will screw with a lot more than just shift speeds!
But obviously no easy fix apart from the good old speedo healer!
