Computer connectors

Desktop computers are not that far removed from engine computers in what they are, so thought i'd upload this here. Useful for IDing old or new hardware!

Don't know about anyone else, but looking at those old 30 pin SIMMS, 8 bit ISA slots and socket 1 boards brings back a lot of bad memories :( :lol:

the SIPPS bring back scary memories :D

i'm a bit annoyed there isn't a picture of a VESA Video Card :D although it probably would have taken the whole length of that image to show it hahaha

Ahh yeah VESA, now that was a cool standard just because it was so huge! I spent so many hours playing doom 2 on my 486dx4/100 with a tseng labs ET4000/W32P Vesa card... sooooo fast in its day. Did some crazy amount of 'characters per second' in the benchmarks at the time. But this trident one looks more impressive because it includes the 16bit end of the ISA connector unlike many of the VESA cards :thumbup:

Ahh yes and my creative labs MIDI add-on daughter board and super dooper $400.00 4X CD burner that could churn out 1 disc every 40 minutes all through that scsi card:lol:

Man....they forgot the MFM Hard disk Plugs.......boy...do I feel old now!!!......I remember using them on AT PC'c and converting them for the Amiga......hahaha oh yeh and My good old CPM dox had one too......a whole 10 meg....hard core :-)
