Ds1245y chip needed I broke off 1 of the legs and need one ASAP. Please pm me so I get a email notifying me of the MSG.

if theres some of the pin left you might be able to solder the leg to a IC socket .... i've done this to revive one of mine before.

Yep, I've had success with that too, even when it's broken off flush.
VERY carefuly file/grind away the case next to the broken pin, and eventually you'll expose the pin inside the potting.
Stick the NVRAM into an IC socket while you're doing this, or you'll break off more pins.
You can then solder a wire from the exposed pin to the IC socket pin and you're good to go.
If you grind off too much, you'll cut through the very thin copper wire that connects to the pin inside the case - that can still be repaired, but gets more difficult (ask me how I know...)

except I did it with a IDE hard drive that broke a pin. I used a pin (like for sewing) and soldered it in.
Not using the HDD anymore but it was still working when I changed Computers.
I'd buy the broken 1 if Specops wanted to sell it. (at a discounted price )
