uv eraser

ive erased a good 1500-2000 eproms with my 15 dollar special like above on ebay just dont use the timer its like in hours not minutes LOL
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem

got a cheapo on its way,cant go wrong i guess.
do they need an adaptor for aus 240v power point?

mine i just wired on a new plug from jaycar

Ive got the same eraser been going for years now :)
how long do you guys leave you eproms under the uv light for as some of mine i put under for 20 25 mins and they still dont whipe blank 1st go

They usually take 5-10 mins. If they dont erase in that it can be because of the angle the light is hitting the guts of the chip. Can turn it around or line it up better. If you can, get the light source square on to the face of the chip.

thanks for the info, i removed my tray and place the chip / eprom part directly under the uv light
sometimes i thought it mighta been a little close to the light and that might be my problem
