Weird Timing Values

Post by sparx-1 »

Hi all, First i would like to congratulate all you guys for putting together all the software and files so i can have a play with my
engine  makes me enjoy my car even more getting to know how its thinking when i push the go pedal :)

Vehicle details to date:
Holden 96 VS S pack Ute
Engine: Stock new crate engine VT 5.0L V8 (roller cam) apparently (195KW)
Engine Loom: VT SS V8 auto, modified and running
PCM from a VT auto SS (16234531) original memcal bin CJDN. now with a NVRAM conversion from VL400 running CNPJ RT mod bin, no BCM
Exhaust 1 5/8 tri y pacmakers into twin 2 1/5 system
Gearbox: 96 VS T5 5 speed manual

Its currently running on a nvram from vl400
CNPJ_mod.bin
VT V8 V1.2 $A6Evssandvatsdone.xdf
VT_$A6_v1.0.adx

I am only new to all this software and loving every minute of it.I went for a drive and took a log checking for knock
and I found that i am getting some weird values in the timing like some hex values.
Could some one have a look at the it below and point me in the right direction of how to get it to log numbers.

If this is in the XDF right click the table and you can choose "Show Raw Hex" or "Show Calculated Values"

If its the ADX, which I think your actually asking about, its due to the ADX config being set to hex for spark advance. Attached is a fixed version, post back if it works or not so I can update the ADX thread with this version.

It was only happening in the .csv excel table when i exported a log file from tuner pro.
That updated VT_$A6_v1.01.adx file worked a treat thanks Vl400 :D
