Have you set the echo correctly in the plugin settings - the same screen where you pick the com port? Flashtool should work though. What ALDL interface are you using? And if your using a USB->serial adaptor, what type? If your using an adaptor that isnt FTDI chipset (or doesnt support 8192), then it will loose sync with the comms a lot as it'll be running 9600 instead and that might be what your seeing.

Which Echo setting are you changing, there are 2.
In my experience, when it connects but the dash goes nuts, it is the one in the ADX that needs changing, edit ADX to change.

i tried echo on or off in the plugin, does the same thing. will change the ADX and give it another go. Im using the USB/ALDL adapter.

ive tried echo on in both plug-in and the ADX and the same thing is occuring.
would also note that it is only RPM and DC % that goes nuts. 8 cyl mode stays selected during cranking, but 8 cyl memcal goes out, and fuel cut active flickers set/unset

no matter what i do its the stupid same response.

change ignition module, same from tunerpro. how can the rpm be so erratic!!

ok found the problem after alot of bs.
someone had seperated the 2 blue injector wires from the ecu. and also the reds which meant the ignition module wasnt getting its 12v.
took stripping the entire loom back to find it.
all refitted and fired up straight away!!
time for some tuning now.

Well done for persevering.
As we've tried to tell everybody, if it's not working it is more than likely that it's either the vehicle wiring or a hardware problem if the software is configured properly.
Now the fun begins, TUNING!!!

How did you get on with the MAP sensor today? Got it on the 2bar now??

was just a very weird problem that had me pulling my hair out! :(

VL400, nope ran out of time today.. will have all of saturday to play with it tho and i cant wait!
will be doing basic idle stuff tomorrow as im STILL waiting on my trans.

cant believe its finally running on a 808, you guys do some awesome stuff!!!

all i can do is provide a joy ride once its all done :)
