Just wondering what peoples experiences
are with the innovate lm2 wideband.
I am looking at getting a kit with exhaust clamp
Etc so I can easily remove it.
Thought I'd ask before forking out for one.

A mate bought an LM2 on my recomendation after having nothing but good things to say of my LM1 and 2x MTX-L's. The LM2 has not been as good though  The two biggest issues are it resetting (which causes logs to stop) and the SD card getting a bad connection (which also causes logs to stop). The SD problem was fixed by wedging some paper in the slot with the card, but the resetting still randomly happens. Otherwise it has been good, used it on a few OBD2 cars too which is pretty handy.

Oh, I managed to brick it while doing a firmware update too. Win 7 64bit was not compatible with the LM programmer but instead of the program not running it opens and runs fine but only gets to 90% complete. Just hung at that point and then refused to boot. Not sure if Innovate have fixed this (it was a known issue), so a little heads up if they have not!

The OBD2 logging has been pretty poor from my experiences with it. Constant glitches, dropouts, and my instrument cluster goes nuts at times with it logging. this is on a 2011 Captiva so the bus is pretty busy but I can log hours with EFILive and not have any issues at all....

Would i better off with the mtxl guage?
It dosent sound too good, partly why i wanted it was for the obd2 feature.
If it dosent work well then probably not worth it.
I guess i could use tuner pro 5 rt and ill have to get efi live for ls1.
Ive used an lc1 before and found it pretty good.

if you just want wideband input to the computer or for logging then the MTX-L (wideband with gauge) or the LC-1 (wideband without gauge) are all you need .. but if you want to do extra with it then maybe you do need to look for other options.

I ended up going the mtxl guage got an 18ft cable and exhaust clamp.
My next question is can you use power from the aldl obd2 plug as
i was thinking of making a cable/plug up so i can easily pug in and remove.
If not is there anywhere else to plug in?
dont want a cigarete lighter plug, they arent very reliable.

i don't know if the aldl plug power would be able to handle the amps it might need to heat up.
