What is the best way to set the Rev limiter in Tuner pro??

Via spark map or fuel map??

I'm in the learning process so don't flame me if I get things wrong.

Cheers

neither, there will always be a separate item in the xdf just for rev limit. depending on which xdf you use it will be called rev limit or fuel cut or something like that

I know this is off topic for just question, but with the VX-VY when I set drive rpm limit to ff 6300rpm & re enable fe 6275rpm it actually completely disables rpm limit!

Ancient thread I know and possibly an insanely stupid question but this thread makes me question it, is it possible to instead of using the fuel cut limiter that is 5.9 standard (from memory) set a timing retard at a lower rpm like 5k and that way revs will be limited from the timing retard in a pop bang 2 step sort of style? Or would that just result in it running super unhealthy after that retarded timing until it reaches the fuel cut limiter

OSE 12P does this on 808 hardware. That's the difference between the soft cut and the hard cut rev limiter added to that operating system. In practice it all happens so quickly, the real world value is not a lot. But you can set soft cut on that system say 500 rpm below hard cut. But the trade off is you waste power in the top 500 rpm of usable engine rpm. You can tell by the lack of people singing the praise of this specific addition the demand is not there, even if it is a nice to have corner case.
