Help with $12P AE tables

Post by Charlescrown »

Trying to work out settings for my car with $12P program. I understand that the AE tables adjust the fuel enrichment as the accelerator is pressed down (like the old accelerator pump) but what I need to know is what do the numbers in the tables represent. I am guessing they could be the addition in ms to the injector duration but like I said guessing. My car is 4cyl turbo 14lb boost with VT supercharged injectors. The current settings are causing the car to have a very lean spot when cold and the reverse when hot.

AE multiplier 800 to 4800 rpm
0.50
0.70
0.80
1.00
1.00
1.00
AE temperature -28 to 116
1.53
1.31
1.09
0.88
0.69
0.53
0.41
0.34
0.28
0.27
0.25
0.25
0.25

Hope someone can help advise which direction I need to move.

AE is an aynsc pulse, ie an extra injection event that occurs out of sync with the normal injector pulse per engine rev.

The first multiplier table is used as a base to calc the AE PW. It uses the TPS as a trigger (Accel Enrichment Param - AE delta throttle threshold) and vacuum as the load, a PW is calculated. The more load, less vacuum, the bigger the pulse. The temp table allows you to fine tune AE for different engine temps. So the idea would be to get your AE sorted using the first table at running temp and then use the temp table to fix it when cold and warm.

Thanks for the info.
Just what does the number represent? Also if I search AE in the program there are a few other areas that come up. I suppose they should not be touched?
Thanks
Dave
