Throttle Gain

Post by brindo »

I have just put a larger throttle body on my car and got the fault code 21. I have adjusted the open stop so that the TPS voltage is below 4.8 volts and will see how that goes. But I noticed that 100% TPS was always reached well before the throttle blade was wide open. There’s a parameter called Throttle Gain. Adjusting the value seems to affect the rate of change in TPS % for a given throttle blade position. Increasing the value also determines when the TPS value hits 100%.

Is this value best adjusted so that 100% TPS value is at the same point when the throttle blade is exactly 100% open? Is there any reason to have 100% TPS before the throttle is wide open? And how does this setting affect the engine operation in a manual vehicle?

Thanks

yes adjust so it reads 100% @ 100%, no difference just that the new TB obviously has a different length of operation for the sensor and TB itself.
