Converting 202 to ABS Crank Trigger

Well as the topic suggests, my ultimate plan is to have a 202 running with a custom crank trigger!

So to begin with i am going to use a stock 202 blue motor on a test stand and get it running with the same delco 808 and vk efi manifold as per my gemini, once this is sorted out i will then make a crank trigger using a commodore ABS sensor on the balancer to drive the whole show.

The main aim is for better rpm trace at high revs compared to the reluctor dizzy setup.

So to that end i have begun setting up the 202 on a test stand i got off a mate :) it was originally used for v8's so i just modded the front legs and added my own rear supports and off we go :)

for those of you interested in converting your 202 to a delco, all you need to do is change idle rpm, injector rate and reference angle in a stock $12P v6 tune and this should be how your motor will run :)

well i've spent the arvo finishing off all the little things, i now have an exhaust alternator and engine fan on the test rig and shes pretty much all ready to start working on the custom trigger.

after talking to VL400 and looking at my options for mounting i have decided i'm gonna get a plate for the front of the balancer and just use it that way right from the start, so it might take a bit longer to get a plate made but will be better in the long run!

anyways heres a video of it running with the exhaust, slightly quieter :)

patience delcowizzid :) i actually just sold my eaton m90 blower on ebay, so once i get the cash for it i'll be purchasing a GT35 turbo to keep you happy :)

plus its a contraption from hell, whats to say i can't weld more brackets on the front of it  and i dare say this will come in handy for making a turbo exhaust manifold!!

Second pic down, your dog might need to be careful where he rests his chin after the engine has been running

hahah yeah he was actually sniffing it from one end to the other, if you look at the pic below that one hes moved on to the radiator pipe :)

funny as though, when it is running he is in the middle of the yard watching it and shivering :P
