used it as a template for this.

to mount this up to the head.

this is a tr magna manifold. it is too long to fit in my engine bay. i've tracked down a tp one which is a lot more compact. bought it from ebay. i'll have to trim a heap of stuff off and swap ends with the throttle body. 1 mounting hole almost lines up. another will be easy. there'll be a little fiddling with countersunk bolts but not too much. more pics as it happens.

about 10 years ago i converted it to a magna dizzy. this will get welded up and used with a camira module. found a camira in the local car graveyard the other day and robbed all its' efi parts. i also have a 1927a module which i'll eventually fit. dizzy will do to get it started.

Its impressive what a circ saw can go through! Have (ab)used mine on all sorts of stuff, but not a manifold yet.

For quick and dodgy alloy cutting in the past I've used angle grinders (expensive discs) and jigsaws (horrible vibrations) but hadn't thought of a circular saw, I'll try that next time

Are you trying to convert every car in your town to delco one by one? Or just trying to finally rid the world of Camiras? ;)

got my manifold today. for anyone doing this conversion, the earlier magna manifold is better. it has ECI MULTI on the top. i'm off to louth races shortly so no pics as yet. will update as it happens. just sat them beside each other. the early manifold is 260mm high and the later one is 310.

did a little more today. cut the neck off the magna manifold. even was all civlised and used a hacksaw ! after looking at it all, the plan is to go to the graveyard and grab an elbow and tb from a vn. then cut up the elbow and weld it to the plenum. should be easy enough to work from there. then just got to trim off the excess crap and adapt it to the head. pics as it happens.
