Im having trouble connecting to a vs v8 series 1. Im using $11 and iv tried the vrv6 $11 and cant get anything working. Tried echo settings, plugin on-off ect just cant get it connected! Had no trouble with efilive connecting any suggestions?

Thats a VR $11B bin (memcal ID tool can ID a bin for you). Provided the cal/tune is good and the ALDL part has not been messed with the $11 ADX should work, but if not already done disable VATS before burning it as it will be flooding the bus with data between the PCM and BCM as they talk differently in a VR compared to VS - that will possibly stop TP working as there is no silence. If thats already done is the PCM in limp mode, ie cooling fan on as soon as the key turns on?

Yep no vats ect. The engine light did come on but still seamed to be running ok. Only fault codes i got with efilive were iat voltage high and some other voltage high. No thermo fans on the v8

Probably the better way to do it would be to start with a stock factory tune to suit the engine, use the diff tool in TP5 to find the changes in the one your trying now, and move changes across one by one as you understand what they affect and observe the results. You'll learn a lot more in the process, and may find that some changes are not needed or make things worse, and you can tweak as you go if you find the result is not ideal. Ive not looked at the calibration your trying so this is general help to point you in the right direction.
