Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
well it didn't even come close to the Gemini's 12's! it only got a best of 14.1 I think it was.
so vids of it here: http://www.youtube.com/vs202/
the car is about 100kg heavier than the Gemini was, and its also got a T700 behind it which will sap a bit, but also its pulling a bit of vacuum so more than likely the motors not making the 200hp at the wheels that it used to.
either way its pretty consistant and maintenance free we'll be taking it to Gunnedah drags on the 9th November to give it another burl

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
there was a bit of action at my brothers place while they were watching bathurst bit of a tyre popping burnout ....
unfortunately i wasn't there and only got a dodgy phone video from him. Turns out it kept stalling after alot of big revs, my guess is the fuel pump can't keep the bowl full!

its a bit jumpy and such as i cut all the shit out of it!

It's good to see he's not teaching the kids "bad" habits.

Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
We took this car to Gunnedah drags on the weekend, and due to my Gemini being out of action I had a go in it on the Saturday.
we both got two runs in it, I had the 4th run and subsequently back in the pits it was making a knocking sound!!
didn't really sound majorly loud or anything, and only seemed to do it at idle, anyways we packed up for the day and after checking it back at the caravan park we decided it was on the bottom end and that was our weekend done.
when we got home started it up to get it back off the trailer, and being cold it was a far bit more knocky!

HMM sounds a bit like piston skirt. Has it got forged or std cast pistons.

Re: VS Commodore 202 Drag Car :)
ive had similar sounds when i lost the top of a piston but it would get loud and loose a cylinder and then randomly go quiet and back on 6 LOL hopefully something simple to fix
