Can the delco 808 be used to switch on and off things at specific revs such as variable valve timing?

on an off at certain revs yes, see flex tables. I dont think its been done for variable valve timing yet, but I would be very interested to see the results!

wouldnt be hard if its just as simple as the falcon 6's variable cam timing its just a solenoid that allows oil pressure into the cam gear phaser and shifts the cam when certain rpm is hit setting up an actual multi staged cam timing tho thats a bit harder

I have done it on a toyota 5valve using the ac output switch

The Motronic ECUs I play with do VVT, but to cater for the VE difference when VVT is enabled it uses a second set of fuel and spark tables for VVT on/off.
If VVT was just activated at a certain RPM then you wouldn't have to switch maps but these systems used a RPM x load table for VVT activation control (like a flex output) and a second one for VVT deactivation (to give some hysteresis).

If you used a flex output to switch VVT but also hooked the MAP A/B wire to the VVT solenoid, you'd have a similar setup to how Bosch did it.

no need for second map table just switch the vvt at certain rpm and map the ve to suit I can post the kal 3 tune if i can find where to post it

you can post it in the custom tunes section, and note details about the car.

My question is, With a Vct setup as Festy described, Can you vary the Injector timing to match the valve opening and closing events? I know you dont have to, But COULD you. If you did, How would you do it, I presume the vs+ delco would read its cam angle sensor and adjust? Would it chuck a hissy fit if it saw there was a MAJOR variance between cam and crank sensors shifting allover the place? And if it did it with no problems, how would it 'Adjust smoothly' ? I remember reading something about vt map transitions as used for factory lpg engines.Looking forward to reply, Barana.
