Hello all,

First off, ive been here a few times to look up information about tuning, for about the past 4 years. Primarily i do my searching at the TGO or GearheadEFI and it covers most of the stuff im looking for. more recently ive been wanting to dive into tuning on the programming level so i can start to help contribute to the DIY community. I have no real experience this far, just basic tuning with what is already out there. So im here with a couple of questions hoping to be enlightened by more experienced tuners/programmers. A couple of weeks ago i started looking into tuning solutions for Dodge and didnt come up with much for the DIY side of things. More specifically, the JTEC PCM. i know its not GM but it does use the motorola processor, so im hoping to find more resources to crack this thing. so far a couple of knowlegable people have come forward to look at what ive found so far. I have a thread here....

Also, since im so new at this kind of stuff, i have no idea where to start researching. ive started learning how to understand binary and hex but havent gotten that far, i dont want to go too far for fear that it wont help. Im willing to take classes as well, so can someone recommend a starting point and where to move on to from there?

You would need to start commenting a disassembled bin, if you've never done it before and dont know the language then probably take a year or two to do a full comment. IDA pro is good to help start the process. Have you got full hi res shots of all the of internal circuit?

There's also some good links in the disassemble part of the forum for learning assembly.

yep, theres 3 processors all together, main; spark; and fuel. somehow SCT, Diablo, B&G, Superchips, and Hypertack figured out how it all works together LOL. i hope its not too much of a nightmare

so what is the code in your zip file and which chips is it from? Would be nice to have some better shots so we can see all the chips and markings.

Also since none of us have ever even seen one of these before all information helps.

only thing i know about those bins is they are for the 5.2magnum and 5.9magnum. 256K using the 6816 as the main processor and (2) 6811's for fuel and spark. thats about it so far, unfortunatley
