Nah, everything is new, including the pivot ball and clutch cable. I triple checked everything and carefully measured and set the fork as per my corrected spec (exedy's one is wrong by 40mm! and spread as misinformation across the net).
Like I said, I've had this exact issue before with exedy. I'd say it's more a defective or incorrectly designed clutch cover.
I have used CI, NPC and Extreme(LUK) and never had an issue with them, even the 50% heavier diaphragm with the NPC it's still much much easier to press than the exedy stock kits I have used, that used the steel bearing carrier with Falcon bearing which is larger diameter, this decreases the leverage on the fingers which add to the pedal effort slightly, yet still lighter and felt good.
Although the last one was extremely light and barely had enough clamp, it did creak all the time, exactly the same as this one. No other car or clutch ever once creaked except the exedy ones.
