Re: Vn-vp ecu new connectors
you can remove the pins and wires from the plugs with a small piece of welding wire or something similar ... why not just do that then pin them back into the correct locations for the required ecm ?
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Have you seen what you can do with the factory delco? https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=27&t=356 Its a much better system than a haltech E6GMX. IMHO you would be shooting yourself in the foot converting to a VN loom and then going E6GMX when you could plug in an '808 instead.

Re: Vn-vp ecu new connectors
I havnt player with the delco or any of the ecu really the only reason I want the e6gmx is for tune ability as I have a chiptorque tune in it atm and it will cost me an arm and a leg to get it tuned were I have a mate that tunes haltech ecus regularly for little cost it is in my offroad race car not a commodore what do you recommend

Well, if you know someone who can and will tune the haltech and does not want to learn a new system then that might make your decision for you, but I would suggest pointing your mate to a few threads here and see what he thinks.
the software for the delco ecu is here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=27&t=356 and the pc side plugin for tunerpro 5 is here: https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... ?f=3&t=590
the faq with a few guides (definately have a look at these) and other Q&A we have archived https://pcmhacking.net/forums/view ... f=7&t=1396
The pc software is windows based and the ecu code is much more feature rich than the early haltech (I have experience with the E6X to make that comparison) and the forums are here if something is not clear from the guides.
There are ways to tune the ecu that would be in the car already too, but 12p is the most capable. It depends where your going with the project.

Re: Vn-vp ecu new connectors
So can all of this be done with a stock vs v8 ecu?

Re: Vn-vp ecu new connectors
anything pretty much VN/VP/VR/VS is workable in realtime tuning.
let us know the model of the VS pcm you have and we'll be able to better assist with more specific answers.

Re: Vn-vp ecu new connectors
i should also mention even the newer stuff is tunable, but some is not realtime .... but definately anything up to VT SHOULD be.
