Ahem! i have Scottish heritage mate and the word is frugal. Besides - everyone on this site is 'recycling' to varying degrees, otherwise this would be redundant and we'd all be forking out for shiny new aftermarket gear or buying the latest cars off the showroom floor.delcowizzid wrote:haha she was laughing at our recycled box too man we are tight LOL
If it aint buggered keep using it till it is then rebuild it or turn it into something else.
Build it, Race it, Break/Bend it ; Repeat.

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
yeah i'll be keen to see how the stockcar goes with a proper timing map
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
i just stumbled accross a very similar tune to that stock car one i think its been made using a modified formula holden tune maybe hence the funny VE table

so do you reckon that tune might be worth trying now its got a knock filter on the memcal or just go for it with the ones you did up for it?delcowizzid wrote:i just stumbled accross a very similar tune to that stock car one i think its been made using a modified formula holden tune maybe hence the funny VE table

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
its worth a try might go not too badly ide test it off track even not moving if it revs nice might be a goody if its gained 10 degrees back from the filter board she may be a rocket compared to what it was i dont know if that filter board addition is good or not didnt test it too see if i got any codes should hopefully be fine theres allways the other memcal i did.try them all LOL

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
callled in to see the stockcar on my way home from work just before, the man reckons it seems heaps more responsive - started it up for me sounded o.k to my ears - poked my head inside to see how the comp is mounted and the bloody comp wasn't even plugged in go figure that one. Plugged it in and sounded the same, got me f***ed.

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
is the ecu even getting all its power feeds its probably just been running round on the 10 degree base timing of the module LOL should be 2 main constant power feeds and the switched pink feed to turn it on and off

Re: Spark only bin to turn 808 into programmable ignition ecu
Because youve got a carby on it it will start without a computer because the ignition module is controlling the spark at the base timing until ecm takes over the spark timing.
