VS COMMODORE PROJECT
VS COMMODORE PROJECT
Hi guys thought id put up my latest project car.
I picked it up for a good price, all ive done so
fair is the usual, leads plugs,hi flow thermostat etc.
Ive played with the tune and got the fans to come on earlier
and played with timing etc.
Goes well but its in need of modifications, not sure which way
to go atm turbo/supercharged or convert to a 304.
I also use it as a daily driver so i want the sleeper look.
Prob plan to lower it and tint the windows too.

looks nice and clean and tidy!
as far as motors .... its probably more so personal choice I guess, but also you'll probably be able to get more HP out of a s/c v6 and still have it economical and drivable compared to a 304.
its probably less of a mission to swap too.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Agreed , SC v6 is the way to go. It will be way more fun and snappier.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
Re: VS COMMODORE PROJECT
I almost went super six but come across a vs Calais 304 auto at the right price
to use as the donor car,
It has been stripped and now starting on the vs changing x member wiring etc..
I know these v8s inside out so not too hard to do just finding the time.
Going to put the level 3 dash in,power windows etc.
Pulled the complete harness from the Calais.
Big job but will be good when its all done.

Nah, seats all ripped in bad shape but ran ok.
It was irs to this vs is live axle and dead straight.
I'm just using all the good bits I can from
the Calais.
It's stripped and long gone now.
