VR V8 Project Car

Post by AJS85 »

Bought this HSV Enhanced VR V8 for the running gear for my 1 Ton ute project http://www.eight-five.net/holden.php.

But I decided to keep it in one piece and restore it.
Had a manual conversion done was running the Getrag 5 Speed, so I replaced that with the T5
Replaced everything on the ignition side.
New Clutch, tail shaft CV and tail shaft Bearing
All oils dropped and replaced.

Next step when it's back on the road is to give it a full respray in it's factory red.

The interior, Engine bay and Brakes all cleaned up. (more work to the Engine bay is needed)

Got these rims for it but are going to blast them and powder coat them Gunmetal gray.

yeah I was glad to see you removed the interior red bits ;)
I say with the ute, keep the 202 and turbo it with a delco :turbo:

wow looks great!

its too late now, but you can still buy genuine new ss bumpers. I know because I was looking for new standard genuine bumpers but could only find ss ones. You can get the ss bumper inserts as new genuine as well.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
