good stuff.

I can paint everything but the body. It takes a certain touch and a steady hand which both I haven't got.

Been working on the ute cutting out the rust and replacing with steel so here's some sneak peaks.
Still needs a lot of work but it's coming along

I want to see more of this build here. Funny, but I just can't imagine driving with the steering on the right. I'm sure you all feel the same about us.

damn straight!

that would be weird and confusing using shifter on the right while clutch is on the left.

At least with RHD the gear changing is all done on the same half of the brain lol.

I agree. I would like to see this project as I love seeing rust repairs and panels beating.

I have a question about the front bumper on your VR, can you remove the bumper skin only easily off the car or does the whole reo bar with plastic bar need to come off together?

I am looking at mine, can't work out where half the attachment points are.

There are two plastic clips on the steel bar that holds the front bumper on each side. (they clip/push into position)

Screws on the top of the front of bumper and the ones in the wheel arch.
Also the two bars on the bottom of the bar.

That's all that holds the plastic bar on if I remembered correctly.

Sorry for the delayed response been working out of town.

Cool! thanks.

what are the aftermarket bars like in terms of fit?

I might grab one, get it painted at the local body shop and swap then over at home. The bar is the only bad thing on my whole car, body is near factory new, bars is sand blasted and marked all over and spoils the car a bit.
