Well having kids you need more room, so the old 92 Barina, copy of the swift had to go, picked up this rareish VX 2002 V6 Berlina Wagon for $3500

Has all the Holden extras, both fronts and sides airbags, dual zone climate control, cage at the back with door access and pullout cover and holden tow pack, also has "soft Ride FE1" suspension not sure but is very nice on highway, interior in perfect nick, body in perfect nick, only slight rust starting at join in one rear door, no rust or sign of rust anywhere else usually notorius at the roof racks and top of the hatch, has 250k on the clock but runs like brand new, internals are clean and has been serviced regularly.

Sedans not much but wagons and hatches do, water sits and gets into joints around the hatch area and joints behind rubber seals, same happened to our barina hatch, had rust around the hindge area and it was garaged and I'm not near the coast.

haha, well yeh ill do all the mods i can money permitting.

Slight leak in intake manifold gaskets, so going to throw a new set of alloy ones in so it's done. Pulled the lid off the plenum and oh my, EGR does make a mess, will be disabling that in the tune! Manifold gaskets were starting to crack in the rear ports as usual. The plenum casting has quite a fair bit of crap left in it so cleaning it up before it goes back on. Will also port match throttlebody.

had to do a WOT run in stock form, 9.5sec 0-100, bit of retard from the stock spark tables, had a full tank of BP98 as well, being a wagon it's 80L? We took it on a 700km round trip last week and got 9.6L/100 with it packed full of stuff 4 people and some hilly driving. So far from that log just tweaked the shift patterns and line pressure.

Well im no painter or panel guy and dont really like doing it, but cost saving had to give it a go, removed the bubbled paint and used a small wire brush to clean it up, then got one of these kits from touchuppaints, kit seems the go if your doing touch ups, prob more stone chips etc, goes by your paint code and gives you the primers, rust treaments, paint and clear coat as well as cleanup stuff. So far have put the rust treatment on which is apparently some rustkill / fibre type sealer? then primer then paint, gave it few hrs between coats, did two primers and two paint coats to come up near level. Thinking ill give it a run over with some wet and dry type paper then give it the clear coat. Also as a preventative i have remove the plastic side skirts and drain plugs and given the inside of the sill a spray with Fluid Film, though peeping a look inside i can't see any rust on the inside. Have to fix up a few stone chips as well but otherwise body is good!

Some interior shots, will have to get better ones outside, the seats are so nice, could drive all day in it. Want to get seat covers but i dont lol For even more room you can unclip the cage and fold the back seats down.
