My VS Berlina OSE$11P Test Mule
As there wasn't a lot of testers out there for the idea of OSE$11 I decided to go looking for a good test mule that will keep me happy too...
I found a reasonably priced VS Berlina V8 Auto with IRS, here's some pics but pretty standard for it's age... As you can see it was fairly stock & family car but is lowered which I used to love but haven't for 10 years or so, has tinted windows & S3 Statesman interior!
Now for the important stuff... I was hoping to get it ready for OSE$11 testing on the drive home & had a $11 file on the ostrich to go & was supposed to be taking the car back to the owners family member & had tools so I could remove memcal cover on PCM but didn't work out that way
Anyway as I was driving home from picking it up I thought I'd try & log it's drive & seemed it logged ok with standard $11 adx even though the PCM was supposed to have BPYS file on it which is $12...

Re: My VS Berlina OSE$11P Test Mule
... So here is the log & ADX needed to read it...
Once I got it back to the workshop & took the memcal cover off it & it had a C.O.M.E. memcal in it!
Was told the old owner had it rebuilt by them & with a small cam but didn't think much of it as it had a little off beat idle but nothing crazy!
I drove it back gently to get a feel for it & did drop skids at 1 point rather easy as a stupid drive annoyed me!
It does have a rebuilt trans in it too & shift kit removed (supposedly) & corvette servo but it still shifts hard 1-2 even light throttle but other shifts are pretty soft so need to tweak in the tune!
Watch this space hopefully the testers code will be ready soon!

Good to see the new ride
Will get you an 11P to start testing with soon, still a few things to do first but its getting closer. Can play with a standard $11 bin for now to get a tune done for the cam.

Yeah I'm pretty happy with it for the price & yeah I can't wait to give the OSE$11 a go too!
No worries VL about it being soon whenever you get it done will be when it is, as far as the tune goes I will just do a compare of the tune that was on it & port differences to BPMN & add a few tweaks!
It's surprising the COME memcal has 2 weird eeproms where the knock filter & the limp home thingy?

the come one I have only has a heap of resistors up that end of the memcal nothing else.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Re: My VS Berlina OSE$11P Test Mule
Well it turns out COME have used a BMZK based file but as come usually are it's offset & assume extended timing & more sections & trying to get as much of it to line to stock I can but not easy as there isn't a $58 xdf either!
Hopefully I'll get somewhere with it or just start from scratch myself!

Re: My VS Berlina OSE$11P Test Mule
well there you go I hadn't seen a stock V8 without the filter!
I can guarantee the file on it isn't stock, it's all over the place & cal starts at 5000 not 6000, but it chops & changes sections al over the place in the cal too!
