Hi guys,
Can anyone help me out here with tuning? What are the possibilities and limitations of tuning a N/A RB30 which has had a turbo fitted.
This is for a burnout car... so it doesnt have to be perfect... and it musn't be expensive... cheap and dodgey will do lol. I just want to get more fuel into it basically...

if you have a stock ecu you can chip it and add fuel

you can solder a new chip into your n/a ecu which has the turbo bin on it. then you are essentially running a turbo ecu, just without the knock sensor control.

and you want to take some timing out of the turbo tune before running on the higher comp n/a engine

yeah the turbo tune for the lower comp engine has 50 deg advance in places

cheers guys
it will just be using stock N/A ECU and injectors... i dont wanna screw around too much.
So who could do a memcal or chip or whatever for me?

soldering in the chip is the hardest part you need to cut the chip out and unsolder each leg seperately or the multi layer board gets cooked pretty easy best left to someone who knows what they are doing or that have at least done one before.youll need bigger injectors at a minimum

The VL has a nissan ECCS ecu. a 12p ecu can be installed on any engine but its not plug n play and more work than you want to do. Grab one of the VL bins from the bin section
http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic. ... p=278#p278 (probably the turbo one) and grab the VL XDF from the XFDs thread
http://pcmhacking.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=5 or and remove a fair bit of timing out of it for a start. Thats the simplest way to get something ballpark - and it will be ballpark and would let a quality build down.
