Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
yeah just reverse mount them in rails with no filter baskets dont even need to pulse them when back flushing
If Its Got Gas Or Ass Count Me In.if it cant be fixed with a hammer you have an electrical problem
Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
yeh just hold them 100% duty cycle and flush them, though i do cycle them a bit just help.
I also use them in reverse to test how worn the pin is, pulse them for a couple of seconds with no pressure, then ramp the pressure up, most usually handle upto 80psi, but when there worn they'l start leaking. i find it easier that way, otherwise you have to wait minutes or hours even having them in the normal way before they leak the same.

Cool thanks the1 and wizzard, I'm just running shitty old magna (grp A) injectors, they all flowed even not long ago when my mate flowed them for me but I'm sure it dosnt hurt to check things like that for my baby
Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
is that the old cream tops? 0280150706 there 230cc you could swap out to the LS injectors 0280155890 or 155931 there 250cc
Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
Yeah mate that's the ones, what would be the advantage ? There on a 308 stroker, mild roller cam, std intake, ported heads,manual,4:11's. Prob going to a4 barrel inlet and tb later this year ?

Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
the advantage would be in the better spray pattern, also if you have 19lb injectors now then the LS ones are 24lb, you may well need more than 19lb if you making enough power with the stroker....
most people upgrade 355 motors with 24lb injectors.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Ok, il keep my eyes out for a set, probably need them when I upgrade the inlet and wake it up, can't wait it struggles for grip now lol
Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
Got another set of 968's to test today, yet another set of fake bosch's, so i did this video so far with my findings on fake bosch's.
Every fake bosch injector i have tested has followed this list.
No bosch logo on the body
9-10ohms resistance of the coil compared to genuine bosch which is 11-15ohms typically
Flow Variation in the set worse than 8-10%
Then lastly demonstrated in this video showing low pressure testing while the injector is static.
Genuine bosch's on the right and clones on the left, you will see genuines can maintain 4 separate streams of fluid, while the clones just dribble.

Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
fair difference there, out of interest what is the pressure ?

Re: Injector Flow Testing Data
about half a psi if that.
