The end cap has 2 crimped sections on it to stop it unscrewing in service, just touch those areas on the grinder, then they should screw off.

DAMN I was hoping I had some to test as I thought I had a set from a VN, but the oldest 1's I have are 790 & 973!

got it off as above and with some heat, must be sunday goop special, there prob good as you say for a racecar, that jet in the middle is pretty solid though, it's still atomizing

also either 43psi or 51psi didn't really change flow.
