how did it fit up to begin with? I found every buick v6 i've worked on had its manifold too high up and needs 20 thou off for best fitment for untouched factory engine. mismatched from factory they are.

To be honest, I'm not really sure. And that's a whole other can of worms that I'm not ready to open yet. :)

Now my heads will flow coolant both sides, both ends. Excuse the crappy welds, it was a tough spot and the cast material is a bitch. I pressure tested to 120psi, no leaks.

The one at the back on the passenger side is. It shares the same gallery in the manifold as the crank case breather. So I also has to weld up an oil port on that side and then open the coolant port. The rear coolant port on the driver's side has no flow unless the heater is on. I have no heater therefore no flow.

Has anyone had fuel rails machined up by efi hardware?

I ordered some fuel rail extrusion from aeroflow today, so I'll have a go at knocking my own up. Could be interesting. :)

Anyone know what the little pipe that comes out of the water pump and straight into the manifold at the front? My suspicion is that it's only there for the heater.

Thats the bypass loop that allows the thermostat to "sense" the engine temp, without it the coolant doesn't flow over the stat when its closed and causes the engine to overheat.
