FS: ECM NVRAM Conversion (VN to VS but not VS Ecotec)
Re: FS: ECM NVRAM Conversion (VN to VS but not VS Ecotec)
The jumper info is in this guide:
download/file.php?id=8475
If it's the PCM board wiring mod. the info is here:

Thank you much appreciate your reply.
Sorry I probably wasn't clear on what I'm looking for...Well was clear in my head anyway
Im looking specifically for the 808 ecu; the jumper that gets installed under the board to transfer the write signal to the memcal to allow the NVRAM to be edited.

There are no jumpers that need to be soldered on any PCM hacking gear.
Please provide a picture of what you are working with.

i beleive its referring to the wire on the back side of the ECU PCB to get the write line connected.Gareth wrote:There are no jumpers that need to be soldered on any PCM hacking gear.

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!
Just starting out? Have a read of the getting started guide

Yes the wire that brings the write line it get soldered on the back of the ecu

Hi Holden202 the links only show the 424 ecu mod not the 808.
I'm being told if I buy the NMRAM that the instructions will come with it the problem is no one seems to be interested in selling it.
Not sure if I'm wasting my time with this old hardware as maybe no ones interested in supporting it anymore??
I have the ECU apart on my desk at the moment the plan was to get the mod done now while its apart and add in a USB >Ethernet TTL serial interface at the same time, I have managed to find the pins for RXD and TXD on here so I can do that but without $12P pretty useless.
This way when and if I manage to get hold of a NVRAM module I can have real time programming.
For now I am looking for a second hand memcal that I will blank and burn a $12P 2 bar tune into that's hopefully close enough..... a roundabout way but I don't see any other options other than make my own NVRAM which I guess is also a option albeit a pain as well. I can see moates sell memcal adapters but they seem to use EEPROM rather than NVRAM again wont do real time.....
Apologies if I come along a little frustrated but been banging away at the keyboard for weeks trying to get a solution on this.

It seems you are confused, there is no read/write wire mod for 808, only USB Comms - viewtopic.php?f=14&t=3613
I have already responded to your PM, they are in stock and price is listed in the advert.
ECM NVRAMs are out of stock and are in production right now.
Gareth.

I can confirm there is def a write jumper wire you need on the 808/082/305 ECUs.
I'm the director of VSH (Vlad's Spec Holden), because HSV were doing it ass about.
