Back again for some more!

Picked up a VT Acclaim Wagon for a daily, then mrs became pregnant so i did a power window swap, vz berlina roof lining, vy series 2 interior swap and fitted some XU6 rims i had laying around.

Cut a long story short baby is a few months old now and mrs has been complaining how slow the Wagon is and how much it has to work to overtake (we live in the country)

Anyhoo, i picked up a L67 S Pac last weekend to do the conversion. Was the old personal car of the guy that owns FIT. Just a stocker with a pulley kit and 175,0000km. Bonus also being upon inspecting the receipts etc in the glovebox it has a 15,000km old $3600 gearbox in it!

Skip to this weekend, should have it all in and running in the Wagon. Wagon already had a set of pacemakers on it when i bought it so will stick to the single cat system for now. Also have a LSD from my old VX SS i can fit at a later date when i can be bothered swapping the flange over or go all out and do vx2+ rear cradle at the same time.

sounds like you have a busy weekend planned and should be able to please the missus with the upgrade

Thanks guys, it was a massive mission but it had to happen sooner rather than later

Thinking i should do the fuel pump now to, but so sore from yesterday ha ha

Mrs drives like a nanna around town anyway so should be safe for a week or so and will re-fill with 98

Now to do a clutch master on my r8 today, more fun

It never ends

Done the clutch master on the R8 now i need to do under dash vacuum lines on the Wagon cause the vents are being very nice and only blowing in the window

Its done it ever since i got it but getting warmer with a 3 month old so mrs wants it done. Changed the 1 way valve then upon replacing the glovebox found one of the previous owners had tore one of the vacuum lines that fills that little tank off while most likely doing a dodgy stereo install and of all things they could find to block it up they used a cigarette butt!

Well done all sorts of driving now even its first trip to the city and back, uses less fuel than the old ecotec which is fairly strange

Now i think i may need to pay to get it tuned or start getting into the PCM style stuff because there is a weirdness with the built box with foot flat

Its not like its slipping its like it doesn't know what to do, a few people have suggested the tune needs adjusting for line pressure/shift point?

Anyway where i live there is 2 big hills on either way into town, the old VX SS daily used to change gears a lot, so did the wagon when it was Ecotec, the wagon however glides up with... love it
